If I'm struggling to get through calc 3 atm (taylor series & power series shit), how fucked am I when I get to diff eq or lin alg?

Diff EQ is the only spooky part tbqh. They cover series and convergence and a bunch of crazy shit to find variables and constants. Linear Algebra only uses series once you get to Jacobian and Gauss Sidel methods, but I encountered that in programming courses. Really try to learn the power series for diff EQ.

you might be struggling now, but keep going at it and in a few weeks or months when your exams come around you'll get the hang of it and everything will be fine

Oh, anyway, Taylor and power series aren't really relevant material for linear or diff.eq. Linear isn't at all related to the calc sequence. They only put calc as a prerequisite to keep enrollment in check (many would be stem majors drop after failing calc sequence)...

But, failure to grasp Taylor series generally shows a lack of discipline/time management (not some innate intelligence), which if left unchecked, may be detrimental to your success in diff.eq and linear.

I'm on quarter based system so that may be why.
calc 1 was all differat
calc 2 was all intgerals
calc 3 is taylor series, with some linear mutlivarb, vectors and other shit.
calc 4 is mutli varb calc
etc etc

multivariable calculus isn't used much in ODEs, though you will use the multivariable chain rule for exact equations

linear algebra can be taught without calculus, but it helps when you get to stuff like the wronskian, and if you're lucky you'll go over vector spaces of n-differentiable functions
