Globalism is a buzzword on /pol/.

If you asked why they hate George Soros I doubt they could actually explain why other than that he opposed Trump, is a Jew, or supports globalism.

While the other guy who said "Globalism means brown people flooding my country" is partly true, it also comes from "cultural marxism." Cultural marxism is the belief that all cultures are equal in value, where most right wingers will argue that the western, white (if you want to drag race into this) culture is the best. I'm black, but from my observations and from my own heritage, it seems obvious to me that the blacks who chose to "act white" after slavery ended up better off. It seems like emulating the western culture is a recipe for success, and others should emulate it.

Meanwhile there are other people who care more about "fairness" and want us to bend over backwards for the rest of the world to catch up. It ties into socialism- that it's easier to knock the top down than to raise the bottom up. That's where the globalists come in and become a problem. They want to make everything fair by watering down western culture with Islam and other shitty cultures, eagerly leading us towards "cultural suicide." All in the name of fairness.

Globalism in the sense of working together(like ITER or ISS) and trading with other nations is a great thing. I love my nintendo shit, and I wouldn't have that without globalization. But there is the cultural Marxist side of Globalism that conservatives oppose.

the problem isnt about which is best, its about the homogenization of all cultures that's the problem. Most right wing people (me included) have no problem with Asian countries remaining Asian, and Arabic countries remaining shitholes, the problem is with the balieve that all these countries should be mixed into what is essentially new york.

Globalism is the creation of 'interdependent systems' that span the world which means that each country is dependant on each other for supplies or materials or services.
The supply chains are not only extremely vulnerable in the event of war or natural disasters, but when shit does actually hit the fan, the people in the affected country/ies get completely FUCKED in the ass because they can't do anything themselves, because they've been dependant for so long.
This is why specifically conservative people are against this because they know that when shit gets tough, the only person you'll be able to depend on is yourself.
