climate scientists are to climate change as astronomers are to space exploration. absolutely useless.

you want to solve climate change? stop going to excursions to the antarctic to get ice cores, shilling carbon taxes, programming assumptive models in matlab and start developing alternative energy that actually works - nuclear.

noun: exploration; plural noun: explorations

the action of traveling in or through an unfamiliar area in order to learn about it.

looking through a telescope isn't building rockets.

/sci/, has really dumbed down over the years since i left this beta numale board.

kek'd, you don't need an astronomer to plot out a course. besides they don't even build the telescopes. they are useless and you are a moron.

in comparison to building a spaceship, finding a planet and determining its trajectory is child's play. but i guess for an astronomy major even the simplest tasks seem like climbing the highest of mountains.

Please, just accept you need astronomers and engineers.

yes but all the astronomer needed to do was come up with a pretty basic map, and they've finished creating such maps decades ago and now spend most of their time looking at parts of the universe too far away to ever be possible to visit. now that we have a map they are uselss.

same with climate change pushers, they needed to do the basic research to determine earth is warming water levels rising and carbon dioxide higher in the atmosphere but now that that work is done they are useless, we need people changing things not just observing that they are changing.

its like look, if you need to find directions somewhere are you going to type the address into your phone and use the maps that someone already made or are you going to hire someone to chart out a course for you himself?
