1) Explain that the lectures are difficult to follow and ask to help prepare the lecture notes if he doesn't have to time to fully ready them
2) Hopes he realizes that the notes are becoming 90% yours and decides that you'll prepare them and he'll check them
3) Ask to give the lectures to help you prepare for the future in academia.
