If evolution is real, then why didn't the dinosaurs evolve to be able to survive meteor strikes?

They build spaceships and flew away before the meteors came. The reason we have so few skeletons/fossils is because those were religions nuts who elected to stay behind, convinced their faith would keep them safe. Pic related, an idea of what they might have looked like in their early space travel experimentation.
