I study math from a university though, where I come from community colleges are not even a thing and I cannot think of an equivalent. Aren't community colleges simply the cheap versions of universities so that poor students can get the early credits without paying the 10k - 50k a year demanded by american universities and therefore a direct side effect of the corruption in your country? lol.

After having spent years trying yo make sense of meta-physics textbooks the part of their brain devoted to formal reasoning is completely fried.

Yeah it's a tool/medium of the work and some people need to be experts in it but it's just a tool used by talented people to do things, so a math person is more or less a computer/textbook.
