Is your life decided the moment you're born?

Not to your knowledge, no.

For the most part. You can make minor adjustments here and there if you're really intent on making them, but like you said, it's hard work and it's not fun.

Ok and all, but just a small correction CS grads at all levels are paid higher on average than math PhD grads.

doing shit at school but just relaxingly taking business/management courses, and I would be making more than you guys will ever make in the future

Some people just like doing things that
1. Others don't like doing
2. Is very useful to others
These people are practically guaranteed success and happiness. Unfortunately most people are not like this. If you can't have both see if you can have just one of them.

Of course, the universe is deterministic. That doesn't have any practical effect though, considering you don't actually know your future.

You're literally a walking meme. Honestly people who say they "hate math" are guaranteed to be brainlets.

PhD students are like art students. They resort to living in apartments in the bad part of town while working at a fast food restaurant for compensation. Meanwhile here I am with a degree that is actually useful in the real world, living in a comfortable house with a beautiful woman who I can fuck at my discretion, all while being paid a monthly salary.

Remember: the first thing you should do when you see a PhD student starving on the street is laugh in their face.

If you had any smart genes in your lineage your family wouldn't be poor.

Stop lying to yourself.

Yes, PhD students live terribly. Actual PhD holders make damn good money no matter the field especially mathematics. Just go to talk to the thousands of math doctors making 200k a year working in finance

Yes. Motivation is hormonal and decided by the genes. It can take less to motivate a certain person than another. Willpower to actually study and work hard is also genetic.

You have a small degree of control over it but it's largely genetic. As you said, you will struggle to get a B+ while he enjoys As naturally.
