manga/anime writers are usually writers because they didn't go to college
most of them have no idea that any math higher than calculus exists
not to mention math isn't glamorous to the average person (though suugaku girl did okay)
while it would certainly be interesting, a bourbaki anime would flop like a motherfucker

Bourbaki anime could succeed, provided it was sufficiently cute, regardless of the mathematical sophistication.
