How useful would an physical third eye or extra pair of arms be? Would you want them anyway?

>> No.8476760

I think I would prefer a tail:
- easier to balance
- can poke people with it
- can carry stuff with it
- can wrap around a tree
- can slingshot rocks with it

The downside is that walking through doors becomes more difficult and painful

A third eye would only be useful if it can detect wavelengths the other two eyes can't detect. Like if it could detect infrared light, it would be pretty useful in the dark. An extra set of limbs would be shit unless you elongate the length of the torso. Even so, it would be easier to be uncomfortable with extra limbs. I'd take the third eye.

yeah I'll take extra arms, it would be like having super strength, and I could play multiple instruments at once

I'd fuck every woman who wants to do it with thr "exotic" who has a third eye and extra pair of arms. If I had an extra dick, I'd be in fucking heaven.

Why would this be painful and harder

>> No.8477585

I dunno, the amount of extra nervous endings could probably make you a lot less agile overall, a third eye would just cause a whole lot of exotic problems that orthoptics couldn't fix (and your brain wouldn't be able to readjust to, I suppose)
Extra anything would imbalance the human body in a lot of ways, having two hearts or three kidneys is just as bad as having 4 legs or 2 sets of mouths

That said, I'd go for the third eye, as long as it's not oriented on the same plane as my other two eyes

Just bring money, the beggars will do whatever you want.

>Would we get better stereoscopy?
stereoscopy sucks as it is, adding a third eye on the same plane would just make it harder to process
diminishing returns and all that

If two eyes see in 3D, would three eyes see in 4D?

>> No.8477613

>>8477607
No, the formula for eyes -> dimension is n^2-1
three eyes would see in 8D

There points define a plane, no matter how you arrange them
