Exodus is a fictional event - but Jesus the so called omniscient God in flesh assumed Moses, Adam and Eve and other fictional beings and events truly existed because otherwise his "coming" wouldn't make sense.

What's so hard to accept that we're meaningless and have no purpose in this universe - seems like it allows everything to happen, so we also happened..

You all don't seem to understand that believing in God based on the proof He gave mankind through Jesus Christ and the Bible is what saves you. That means believing despite you having no real tangible proof, like God giving you new stone tablets or something. And contrary to popular belief the proof we have actually stands up to scrutiny quite well. Nobody has "real" proof nowadays, just faith. It might sound stupid but what would be the point if you could just show up at the pearly gates and say you changed your mind. Well I sort of lied by saying we have no proof besides what is in the Bible, because God is ever present and really does show Himself, just not directly, but that would be meaningless to us without the Bible to reveal His identity to us.

Perhaps it would be arrogant for me to say but how exactly do I know Heaven won't have the issues earth did?

He allowed his word to exist in lands that challenged it. Allowed his followers to be either killed or kill for it. Allowed multiple interpretations to exist only to be abused countless times by a number of poorly entrusted envoys.

And yet it is me in the end who must convince him why I should not be sent to hell. Despite the fact every force known to man has arguably conspired to say otherwise or at least cloud it.

Not saying it's all God's fault but how knowledgeable can he expect the average man to be in a world full of contradictions?

And who's to say Hell is any worse than Earth which has clearly demonstrated itself to be a hot bed of pain and suffering?

Perhaps it's not me asking for a pardon for my sins and ignorance but a general clarification for why the world I was brought into became so questionable in the first place. Regardless of where I go at least that part of me will know peace since I will get a definite answer.
