The previous experience shit is designed to stop people like you from applying to a job to filter out the number of applicants HR has to weed through. In addition HR is hoping to get lucky and see if they can snag someone with experience and that fits all the other BS criteria they list for the job (they very seldom find people with such diverse skillsets.) If you can't see through such a thin smokescreen you probably weren't cut out for the job to begin with.

I mean, it's so obviously bullshit. I've seen entry level minimum wage cashier jobs that have asked for 2-5 years experience sometimes even going so far to specifically ask for experience in a certain environment like 2-5 years GROCERY STORE cashier experience like just any retail cashier job isn't good enough.

Pretty much any entry level job or internship position in any field requires no previous experience even if the job requirements say otherwise. Having experience is a plus but having none doesn't count against you. Apply anyway.
