Did anyone here feel overwhelmed in first year, but were able to manage everything, including school and health, during upper years? Success stories?

That's really impressive. What did you change?

It looks like you really like math. Is that one of the bigger reasons you were able to do so well?

I could post a pic like the other person but my 1st semester of college straight A's, then failed EVERY course for 3 semesters straight....

took a year off, came back, and I'm going on 2 years straight of only A's

it's called being an edgy, impulse-driven, apathetic and self-pitying teenager with a weak psyche and mild depression - you'll grow out of it m8. Or at least I did. YMMV.

more:
learning how to actually study/work hard since high school was a joke
starting assignments earlier
going to office hours
working with the smarter/obviously more dedicated kids in my classes
grade inflation
as you said: it helps to really like what you're studying

(slightly) less:
weed
alcohol
partying
looking up answers online

though in reality grades don't mean much, you know personally how much you really learned in each class, and as long as you're doing enough to get to where you want to go/what you want to be it's ok to not have straight A's

despite all this i was only in university because i had the impression that's just where you go when high school was done, and had 0 plan for what I was going to do afterwards. i'd strongly recommend having some sort of plan/ambitions

Yeah sounds like me.
>you'll grow out of it m8.
Hopefully sooner than later.

How did you change so drastically in 1 year? And what did you do during that time?
