Does applied math count under god-tier? Just asking for a friend.

these charts are the worst way of comparing majors, they were made to banter people, they're a meme, not a serious way of deciding your future, if that's what you're trying to do

it's better if you state your priorities and then we can discuss it, better safe than sorry

In my opinion math is math. The only difference between applied math and pure math is in graduate specializations, not employment. If you are doing applied math and took courses that cover foundations, algebra, analysis and topology then you are a mathematician.

I mean, not a mathematician mathematician but a mathematician. To be a mathematician mathematician you need a PhD and research and etc.

I mean, would anyone give shit to Cedric Villani just because his work is meant to be applied in physics? I wouldn't do it because his math cock is 10 times the size of my math cock.

Categorizing math in pure and applied in undergrad is dumb. Everything you learn there was invented in the 19th and 20th century so by now everything there is applied somewhere.

Literally shit tier.
But then again mathematicians are subhuman tier compared to physicists so there you have it.

Yes I can. Get a CS degree, and get a programming job somewhere. CS isn't just theoretical, different plans ha e focusses one of which is software engineering.
