There are some good thinkers who believe in man made global warming today.

Almost all scientists and mathematicians pre-Darwin believed in god. Without the theory of evolution, there is no good explanation for the world.

Evolution doesn't explain the world, it loosely explains life.

Mh yeah clearly the spread of atheism is due to fucking Darwin and not the rapid erosion of religion popularity that started with the Enlightenment.
Man you've been drinking the Baptist kool-aid straight down.

That is an incredibly large logical leap

care to make an actual argument with a warrant for your impact?

>le semantic quarreling

You are mistaking me for some religious nut. It's not kool-aid, it's literally an argument Newton gave in one of his debates, "something as complex as a human couldn't arise by itself", etc. pp.

Either way, the thread it retarded. Just report it and move on.

Pretty much everyone was religious then you dumbfuck. At least to an extent, when you're raised with something and it permeates the entire world, it makes perfect sense. Dozens of people far smarter than you or I will ever be were religious. Not to mention philosophy, mathematics and then science comes from religions facilitating intellectuals. You would never come to the conclusion that there is no god if you weren't raised in an environment that allowed it and presented with alternate widespread ideas, contradicting religion. The interests and beliefs of an individual don't stem from the person reasoning once and deciding once they're mature. Rather they are down to the environment, family and literally whatever gets put in front of you.

The distinction isn't semantic.

Evolution doesn't explain the origin of life, it doesn't explain the origin of the universe.
The only people I see always starting a debate on evolution and then starting to discuss abiogenesis and the creation of the universe are somehow only American protestants.

Nobody else seems to be bamboozled that hard by evolution. Darwin's popularization didn't make atheism suddenly jump up in the charts.
