Hey/sci/ so recently I heard of nootropics. Do they actually work? Which ones work the best ?I am gonna order aniracetam and choline.

No and don't fuck with them.

No they don't. I fell for the Noopept and Adrafinil meme. They don't do anything.

If they did, they'd be scheduled in the US.

has anyone tried donepezil?

it's an alzheimer's medication that has been shown to show significant cognitive benefits even in healthy, high functioning, individuals.

Looks pretty legit. I thought you were pulling that out of the blue. Though I still remain skeptical. "Cognitive benefits" implies too many factors that can't be measured, or are not measured at all.

I'm still skeptical aswell. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it since there is limited research. It's not yet popular within the nootropic community

I might volunteer myself as a test subject because there aren't many associated risks.

After extensive drug use I found that it does have a mild reparative effects, otherwise placebo. But that's in a brain that has potentially significant damage after extensive drug use and a concussion. Perhaps it did nothing to me, in either case nothing noteworthy came of it. In a healthy individual it may do absolutely nothing.

Do you think any of the racetams could be used to counter act the forgetfulness that comes with heavy marijuana use?

>> No.8036012

I've tried noopept and racetams and found them crazy effective, with choline and proper nutrition. Not exactly like a stimulant, but more creative or motivated, depending on which one.

However I found myself burned out at the end of the day and sleeping 9+ hours. Also, irritability was a huge problem.

In moderation and for the right situation they can be useful.

You're a few years late to this party.

I used low doses of piracetam and choline for a month and it worked okay, next time I'll take higher doses. I also used noopept for a week but it just made me very drowsy.
