Because a calf (plural, calves) drink it in a very delicate phase of its live. Cow milk is specifically designed for him, not for you. There are even studies that proved it to be dangerous for humans.

Do the people who type this up take a step back, reread what they've written and thing 'yes, this will convince people!'

Link me to a .edu site with actual evidence that milk is poisonous. I dare you.

>Objective: To examine whether high milk consumption is associated with mortality
How scientific :^)
>Participants: Two large Swedish cohorts, one with 61433 women (39-74 years at baseline 1987-90) and one with 45339 men (45-79 years at baseline 1997)
>Results: During a mean follow-up of 20.1 years, 15541 women died and 17252 had a fracture, of whom 4259 had a hip fracture. In the male cohort with a mean follow-up of 11.2 years, 10112 men died and 5066 had a fracture, with 1166 hip fracture cases
Breaking news: People die and get (hip) fractures as they grow older.
>Conclusions: High milk intake was associated with higher mortality

That has been criticized as having bad methodology by many researchers

http://www.bmj.com/content/349/bmj.g6015/rapid-responses
http://milkgenomics.org/article/milk-mortality/

Notably the data comes from a time when milk in Sweden was fortified with very high levels of vitamin A. Excessive vitamin A intake has been associated with increased risk of fracture and mortality.

And a single poorly controlled observational cohort, while hypothesis-generating, is too weak on the evidence ladder to demonstrate causation or make public health recommendations. It's much more informative to look at all the available science instead of cherry picking a single study. For example

I've slowly become more and more lactose intolerant. This sucks, I never used to drink milk by itself, but now I can't even drink a cup of tea or a coffee with some milk without getting gassy as fuck and feeling awful.

Almond milk is nice with my muesli, but it separates in water and makes my drinks look gross.
