flares are directional streaks coming from a lightsource in the frame. this is obviously NOT a flare

No, not all flares are as you think, but that one is directional which is why it is brighter on one side and pointing in the light source direction. The reason it changes shape in the video is because the ISS or whatever took the images is moving and thus changing the angle to the lens or window/window reflection. The rate of change of the shadow under the flare is the same as the flare rate of change given that the ISS is moving too.

If you can't handle it, don't reply.

That's a cosmic ray strike. There are thousands of "ufo" videos from SOHO LASCO and it's either cosmic rays or planets. Pro-tip look at the next frame for both times, it won't be there.

>it's real!!!

You cannot tell that from that image. It could very easily be an internal reflection in the camera or in the window.

Ayy, who the fuck cares if aliens are real?

>> No.7989632

It's an artifact. Likely caused by reflections inside the camera.

first supposed 'UFO': http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/85306388#to00:55:04

the same 'UFO' shown after several hours: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/85314345#to01:05:31

A gif showing the two are the same: http://i.imgur.com/x8P5EZw.gif

You can note that the livestream does not cut out either time as was claimed. It has not been deleted or shopped out despite people only noticing the first instance.

This
If you look at the movement of the rest of the lens flare on the right side of the frame it moves at the same rate
