Hey /sci/,

I was recently admitted into UCLA's class of 2020 with a major in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. I am also a pre-med so I was wondering of your opinion on the difficulty of standing out in a place like UCLA. Can I get any jobs with a major like this without going to med school? I am also contemplating registering for UC Davis instead. Your input?
(No, I'm not asian)

You'll probably need grad-school if you want to be anything more than a lab tech with that.

Don't ask for carer advice on /sci/. Everyone will just tell you that you can't get any job whatsoever with any non-engineering degree.

Don't go to UC Davis. You'll be able to make more professional connections at UCLA. That's all.
LA is a pretty shitty city, but UCLA is actually in Westwood, which is basically Bel Air. It's a nice place to live. Davis is not.

I graduated from UCLA in 2011. It's going to be difficult standing out simply based on how many students are going to be in all your classes.

This guy is right. I fucking loved westwood. I'm in NYC right now and I miss going to UCLA every day.
