I'm deciding which school I should go to. I want to be a software developer. I live in Wisconsin and can only afford in state tuition. Where should I go? Does it even really matter so long as the school isn't retarded? Should I major in CS, SE or CE? What else do I need to know?

Help me /sci/, im lost without you.

So SE > CE and CS? Is it worth it to get a master's?

Not really answering this question, but I currently go to Madison and can assure you no other school in this state is worth going to. Unless you don't like big schools for some reason.

I don't like big schools also Madison is much more expensive. I've heard lacrosse and eau Claire are good.

Go to Minnesota, use reciprocity to get in state. Good school, on its way up the rankings.
