Whatever you like and want to potentially spend the rest of your life doing.

The very fact that you're asking this question indicates you aren't ready. Don't let the field tier wankery trick you into thinking otherwise.

Math, believe it or not, will give you better career prospects than physics (if you care about that). Specially if you are not going to shit uni and will actually learn probability, statistics, research methods, and other things you can actually apply.

People who do double majors are autist. Seriously OP, do not fucking double major.

If you really care about getting out of college with as much shit you can show to employers then I'd recommend the alternative of working on projects outside of your classes. This could be anything like working on a software that you can sell when its finished or show to employers (if you wanna work in that) or to ask your professors wath research projects you could join.

Doing a double major will just give you two titles of the same category, not impressive. Doing a single major and using the extra time to participate in research or work in solo projects will give you a professional title and some real work to show employers.

This.

What is it with people not capitalizing "I" recently? It's gotten much more common than ever before, and very quickly.

Looks completely stupid and makes your reader take ever so slightly longer to parse what you've written. It makes you look lazy, and although it isn't necessarily true, I tend to think the writer is less intelligent and not really worth a legitimate response. Bad habit of my own, but I doubt it's just me.

I mean seriously, what the fuck? Capitalize that shit.

honestly unam is shit tier in the undergraduate level, all the good stuff is from the research divisions. with a few exceptions, all the faculties are shit, one of the exceptions being Ciencias.

in my opinion is best to go with math (provided you are planning on enrolling in Ciencias) because of all the electives you can cram into your bachelor; in your last few semesters you could be studying anything from advanced physics to grad courses in pure or applied math.

but trust me, for undergrad at least, unam is far from being the best university in mexico, let alone the rest of the world.

I know the UNAM is not precisely the best university in the world but I think it's the best option in Mexico, the UAM invest lots of money on UAM-I specifically in Physics but even that way is far from having the UNAM quality. >> No.7746712

>retards who can't handle it

You are close to being right, however you have your fist too far up your ass to take the extra step necessary for you to be right.

Do you really want to have to do near to double of the homeworks, study near to double the topics and then not have that actually help you in your professional career.

If you do a double major in math and physics and you get a job in math, like statistician or actuary, studying physics will have done fuck all for you. If you end up getting a job in physics, maybe something like a research assistant in a physics laboratory, studying mathematics will have done fuck all for you.

You want to do a double major, not have time to manage a healthy social life so that you don't go crazy and then not have that actually improve your professional skills then go right ahead.

Meanwhile, smart people who actually want to get the most refined skills in their area of specialization will do as I said and use the extra time and effort needed to do a double major to join the research projects of their professors or to work on solo projects that will allow you to impress the best employers to make you a better candidate.

But all of those are rational and well argumented reasons, a dimwits like you don't like that.

So my secondary criticism of double majors is that people who do them are retarded autists who literally cannot live without school. They don't have friends or fuckbuddies so all they have is their professors and their homework. Just like in high school. even though you are an adult now, your ego and self-esteem depends on how high your GPA is.

Absolutely depressing. I would have killed myself by now.

Don't bother. I used to feel like I needed to fix the world, though part of me was fully aware I couldn't meaningfully change or even affect much of anything, no matter how grandiose my ideas.

Nah, it isn't worth it. People can cripple themselves in whatever way they wish. The only that thing that bothers me on some deep primal level is the prevalence of infant genital cutting. It's near impossible to stop by legal means at this point. "Rights" are an illusion. They only exist so far as a superior force is able to enforce them, and by a matter of sheer luck. Amputating parts off, or modifying someone's body unnecessarily and without their consent violates the most base concept of human rights I could think someone could try to make.

I'll get rid of it from my head eventually. The awareness is useless.

I don't care either but still feel for them. Surrounded by idiots can be infuriating. I don't about the world or SJW topics. Honestly I don't care if I hear about mass rape in other countries. Abduction, murders, and trafficking doesn't bother me. I just don't care. Its not going to stop because of poverty and that issue won't be solved for another millennia or so. You're technically right, awareness is pointless. Just learn what you want, make money, and fuck whores.

What I feel has changed over time. Most "problems" people have and face have very obvious solutions, they just want an easy way that involves no change in lifestyle, diet, behaviors, or themselves. Facing your problems with honesty is difficult, as is deviating away from the path of least resistance, and that's why people are very clingy, resistant, and self deluding. It's not that they don't udnerstand, it's that they don't truly care. They might bitch and complain, but the fact is, they're too comfortable to bother changing or understanding how things really work. That's also why you get bandwagon bullshit.

I don't feel much of anything. I see them like machines, and their environment as one grand machine of which they are only a part. Myself included. I try figure how any given thing I'm seeing actually works. If I'm forced to interact with someone personally, then empathy and some degree of care becomes involved. But at my core, I don't really care and don't feel like anything I do actually matters. If my actions have any weight, I'm pretty well unaware of it. Maybe that's my own wilful delusion, I'm not perfect either.

I just stay out of it all. Hopefully it stays away from me for quite a while longer.
