Why does there always have to be a goddamn catch? I really can't socialize well and I am emotionally unstable (anxiety and psychosis). I also play with and touch random objects even at my age and I'll repeat something in my head whether physically or mentally for no reason. I was unfortunately diagnosed with it at 14 but was obvious enough when I could solve a puzzle before speaking my first word very monotone-like. What's worse is that I could never make actual friends throughout elementary school and was bullied relentlessly. My autism is so bad that I would consider myself barely high-functioning. Will there ever be a cure to free me from this madness? And I don't find myself to be a special snowflake rather I didn't make it well since both sides of my family has multiple mental defects of any kind.

I am a very stupid person with a question. How do I improve my intelligence? From what I gather here, intellegence is hard wired. I've gotten "promoted" at work and I have to deal with statistics and excel and data and all this shit and I finished highschool with no grades higher than a C (average in Britain). I can give you a very good reason.

No IQ test today can measure the genome of your past ancestors and future decedent's. You are putting faith on a test result that accounts for the individual without any analysis of if they simply drew the "short" straw in the family or if they are actually a part of a lineage of low IQ retards.

Truth is even if you killed off all sub 120 IQ people the remaining persons still have a very real chance of producing low IQ kids.

Most people who advocate for eugenics based on intelligence tend to forget these crucial points. Within every person's lineage were both smart and dumb people. They speak of a culling of the weak minded but forget the "taint" of idiocy runs hundreds of thousands of years "deep". Your eugenics crusade isn't going to get rid of that.

There are plenty of retarded people with IQ's of over 300, that alone proves that it isn't a measurement of decision making capabilities. On top of that, there are plenty of politicians etc for example who probably have wondrously high IQ's that just have poor priorities and subsequently make bad or vain decisions because of it. The quality of civilization is less dependent on the rate at which the population can process and apply ideas (IQ) and far more dependent on the types of ideas available. You can draw accurate rapid fire conclusions all day long and still manage fuck your own shit up like nobody's business; if having a high IQ alone was enough to succeed, "stupid people" would already have been weeded out or at least reduced to a minority.

Low IQ is not the root of the worlds problems; information itself is the topic which needs to be looked into. Sure people with higher IQ can uncover information faster, but by-definition they're also the ones to more quickly build elaborate models off of falsehoods.

Furthermore, the whole human-rights thing ought to go without saying. IQ is no more a means of judging character than muscle is. Based off of the means by which it's measured, it's just the rate at which you can identify patterns and reapply them to an objective. It's just a form of power. It's not any different from physical power, aside from being significantly more useful and potentially less attractive. What matters isn't the power available, but rather the decisions made with it.
