Sup /sci/. I came here because I heard that the smartest people on 4chan dwell on this board. I come with a question. Can climate change realistically be stopped? And if so, how?
Not looking for an argument, every rational being knows that global warming exists, and it is obvious we have contributed to our problems. However, I am looking for any solutions people may have. Pitch.

climate change ≠ global warming

Global warming leads to climate change, doofus.
Now put an idea out or leave.

If you stop the emissions the climate will normalize on its own.

We are getting somewhere.
The problem is, how are we going to do that?
Feel free to post ideas on decent renewable energy sources.

Climate is always normal.

who knows desu
but that really doesn't matter does it? because why shouldn't we be trying to stop it? so we can have shitty doodads at 2/3 of the price that they were yesteryear? we will have better electronics regardless of our pollution

It is irrelevant. In the end we should minimize our resource (which includes shit as carbon footprint) use given a set of productive processes (which include those necessary to produce or do shit that any given element in the population could arbitrarily consider irrelevant) that are made more efficient via technology in order to be able to keep it up asnclose to infinity as possible.

yeah what this nigga said
on another note, why shouldn't we be pursuing unlimited energy scenarios

They lied you.

I thought that too at first, but then I thought if not here, then where? I think he actually might be right.

Maybe, it all depends on the discovery of a new form of obtaining energy.

Doesn't matter much though we can adapt to climate change, and hopefully if it gets warm enough it will thin out the population on the middle east and india.
