Hi,
I wanted to have a discussion (and hopefully learn something more) about magnetism and spintronics. This could be physical or with regards to inorganic chemistry but i'd like to know what are the effects and how to go about making a molecule more magnetic or changing the spin direction of its electrons

Just to expand the discussion more if anyone knows what the effects are of applying an external magnetic field say from like an EMP or something

surely someone on here would lie to engage in this discussion other than me

is this beyond the reach of /sci/?

Sorry OP, I'm pretty sure this thread is too far from popsci to draw in the dumbfags, and too far from real science to draw in the smart fags.

Rather I mean interesting science, instead of real science. I'm sure spintronics is a significant field
