Depends on the person. Remember that IQ, while it makes an okay estimate of mental skills, gauges pattern recognition junk better than anything else. So the question you should probably ask is what people exceptionally talented in their field do all day. There the answer is obvious. They got so damn good by doing work in their field all the time.

Its not like "troll" and "epic", which became popular - "fap" never really entered the public vernacular.
Why, then, have people stopped using the term? Usually when a slang term like that falls out of use, it is replaced by something else, but people seem to have reverted to older terminology, talking about masturbation and beating off.

and 1-3 years of college is about 105-110

Since this is sci, you are expected to be able to graduate college. Also, since we are talking about STEM graduates rather than other types of courses it may raise the expected IQ of /sci/ posters from 115 to 120.

Conlangs are rarely complex or interesting enough to be worth the attention.

Essentially, being multilingual means that I don't think in any particular language, I "think" using the translation algorithm that I've built between the four I currently know. It's somewhat analogous to thinking in assembly code instead of thinking in C++.

It's only interesting if it's different and challenging enough to refine my algorithm. That's why my next three goal languages are Russian, Arabic, and Polish.

They were mostly interested in my spatial reasoning and how it related to working memory, as well as latency and reflex time. Ultimately they just wanted to guinea pig me for early forms of computer assisted cognitive behavioral therapy research though, which I wasn't keen on and dropped the whole thing.

I've done and created some... unusual things, I suppose. But as a whole I've wasted my life, though it's equally accurate to say it's been wasted. I mentally buried my IQ result and ignored it for years, recognizing it to be a mental toxin waiting to weave its tendrils places where it ought not go, unless it was properly framed initially.

People Get hung up on IQ too much. It really is, functionally, meaningless. Just do your best. Improve yourself how you see fit, and live your life. For all you know, you've only got one of em.

I've never been tested for IQ. Is this a typical thing that happens for most people? I've never been tested for IQ or any other similar 'intelligence indicator'. I just know school was easy for me and consistently got a 4.0 gpa, but that could just be because my school was full of retards so they had to lighten the teaching load.

Essentially, proof that people enjoy things more when they suffer.

Had about 40 participants, one control group and one experimental group, had both groups receive an identical reward (three self-selected pieces of candy out of a mixed bag) for different tasks.

Control group had to count the number of times the letters x and f appeared in a short English paragraph, experimental group had to count the number of times the letters e and i appeared in three paragraphs of German.

Then they completed a survey full of red herring questions that had them rate a lot of things on a scale from 1-10; the two variables we were actually measuring were how much they claimed to enjoy the candy and how unpleasant they thought their task was. Only two outliers - one of them was a participant who tracks alphanumerical frequencies for fun, the other was a participant who didn't like candy.

On average the experimental group enjoyed their reward ... 30% more than the control group, if I recall correctly. Our p value was 0.03.
