Is this a legitimate hypothesis? Google doesn't provide any examples of people tearing it apart, but the author seems a bit too fanatical for me to believe his overall claims.

physics has gone too far.
the deeper you search for a meaning to life the more you realise there isn't one.
physics used to have practical applications.
the theory we cobble together now is not only blind guesswork and impossible to prove but has no benefit.

>Is this a legitimate hypothesis?
it's easy to say things don't matter. this time it's objective.

That's it then? It's too far into the theoretical realm to really determine whether he is spouting nonsense or reasonably based in reality?

Okay then. I was mostly just curious if I was missing some glaringly obvious "This is bullshit" sign before delving into into it.

wether it is bullshit or not, this honestly sounds like an interesting read.
it looks more interesting than string theory at least, and (to me) just as probable

>its on the internet so it must be true. They even have a website!
the usual first step in the lifecycle of a hypothesis on the way to a renown theory is a paper in Nature or Arxiv

That's just nearsighted. Nothing wrong with life having a lack of inherent meaning, as it doesn't stop anyone from concocting personal meaning. Physics still does have practical uses, even the most bleeding edge shit will. Science for science's sake is a worthwhile cause, and typically that science ends up being applied to practical things eventually.

You only see it how you do because you are ignorant.

I've thought about it before.
If matter is condensed energy, then that energy comes from "empty space", since there would be no matter to fill it. Vacuum energy.
The link between gravity and bent space/time is that mass is that energy contorted into structures leaving a disparity in the field that pulls on other objects that create that same pull.
Like, if you took a hypothetically 2D cloth, grabbed a point, and twisted it until it made a knot, that knot would represent a particle with mass. Now make that 3D and this knot is pulling in all directions within 3 dimensions.

Remember when they said that quantum mechanics had no practical usage, then we got the transistor? Just because applications aren't readily apparent doesn't mean we won't find a usage for the science.
