I feel like most people that do higher math would treat bc as a single term.

a/bc is not "proper" math, since division and multiplication are tied for order of precedence.
Most people treat left-to-right as a "tiebreaker", since most computer programming languages do the same, but the Nuns at Sacred Heart will tell you it's gibberish.

Technically a/bc = c*a/b, but sometimes people will abuse the notation and write say expression/2hbar because people know from the context that it's to be interpreted as expression/(2hbar).
