It helps if the Professor is specific in what will be covered. Sometimes there's things that aren't as important or are excluded.

No need to get mad. Its obvious that the test will encompass what was taught, but a review makes it more definitive and digestible.

Frankly I'd say the same thing to my students. Anyone looking for what's coming in order to study less, to try weird tricks on how to pass without actually learning ,etc should get fucked.

But it's also up to the professor to assign things during the semester for students to adequately learn the material.

e.g. You can't assign one single problem about re-parametrizing a regular curve, then make it worth half your grade on the exam.
