Is atmospheric science/meteorology the most underrated science?

>everyone will always want to know the weather
>weather data is absolutely crucial to the safe operation of aircraft
>is necessary to give people enough time to prepare for disastrous storms
>good mixture of working with technology, time in the lab, and time out in the field physically gathering data from balloons and other deployed devices
>will never be obsolete

>everyone will always want to know the weather
so we look out the window
>weather data is absolutely crucial to the safe operation of aircraft
so they phone a few people between their destination and take-off point and see if it's too cloudy
>is necessary to give people enough time to prepare for disastrous storms
It's not our place to interfere when God smites the wicked.
>good mixture of working with technology, time in the lab, and time out in the field physically gathering data from balloons and other deployed devices
all easily replaced by looking at the sky
>will never be obsolete
everything dies eventually.

What does that even mean?

1/10, you aren't even trying anymore

It is pretty underrated in my opinion. Not many people dream of going into meteorology but they are so dependent on it. Earth's atmosphere is a really complex yet interesting topic to study. Plus, it practically uses chaos theory to forecast weather which is pretty cool.

What if we don't have windows, or eyes?

What if they lie though

Implying god

not a science

its on the same level as psychology/economics/sociology

How about instead of failing to predict the weather. We try to manipulate it instead. Now that would be science.

You forgot it's importance to agriculture.
Trillions of dollars and everyone's life depends on agriculture and weather can make or break a crop worldwide. Those economic changes then have a ripple effect that affects human events worldwide.

i doubt they'll predict the weather twice as well as we do in 2100 because LMAO CHAOTIC SYSTEM.

jokes aside studying shit like all the lightning types , sprites, bolts from the blue, blue jets and all that stuff is cool as fuck

just because we're relatively shit at all of these compared to stuff like physics and chemistry does not make them non-science, maybe not well developed science .

i'd sacrifice 20 babies to lord satan just to see all these things firsthand .
i ber they can see some of it from the ISS.
