My thoughts? I don't know, never tried it, if it helps you relax then use it, although I don't see how it would help if it gets you much too relaxed to work.

1. don't smoke pot
2. study
3. smoke pot
4. study
5. compare results

to be thorough you could do 1 and 3 in reverse order on different days, wait do to step 5 sober or high

you can do those 4 studies at home, publish the results, and get your phd in a week

Any pothead knows you can never go beyond a maximum point of highness. you could smoke the most bomb shit all day and never go past that point.
You build up tolerance quickly and just end up smoking to maintain a high.

If you want the intelligent intuitive high that you are speaking of you need to hit only sativa strains.

Friendly reminder smoking weed causes cancer just like cigarettes

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benzo(a)pyrene
This chemical is released in huge quantities when weed is burned and it causes cancer

>Its metabolites are mutagenic and highly carcinogenic, and it is listed as a Group 1 carcinogen by the IARC.

>Frequent skin cancers were noted among fuel industry workers in the 19th century. In 1933, benzo[a]pyrene was determined to be the compound responsible for these cases, and its carcinogenicity was demonstrated when skin tumors occurred in laboratory animals repeatedly painted with coal tar.

>he main source of atmospheric benzo[a]pyrene is residential wood burning.[1] It is also found in coal tar, in automobile exhaust fumes (especially from diesel engines), in all smoke resulting from the combustion of organic material (including cigarette smoke),
>including cigarette smoke),
That would also include marijuana alongside tobacco

>In 1996, a study was published that provided the clear molecular evidence conclusively linking components in tobacco smoke to lung cancer.[9]

>Benzo[a]pyrene, found in tobacco smoke (including cigarette smoke), was shown to cause genetic damage in lung cells that was identical to the damage observed in the DNA of most malignant lung tumours.

Agreed. As a man that didn't start using it till the age of 30 I've found it's properties intriguing and have tried to suss out the stereotypes from experience.

Getting too relaxed is a matter of dosage. You'd be suprised how many users don't monitor and study the effects on themselves if they vary the dose. I believe this will change just as preinternet ignorance and spread of rumors as fact dwindled when we had dictionaries and encyclopedias in our pockets. The lifting of canabis prohibition will allow for more public communication and understanding of it's use. Kids won't as often take huge ass bong rips and fall asleep on the couch when they can learn in school that a little goes a long way.

I take a micro hit to alleviate depressive moods when my coping skills are at their limit and thoughts become too suicidal. I take a small-medium hit when I want some relief for my arthritis before I go and work out (this antiinflamatory affect is underrated. I get more relief from canabis than naproxen or ibprofen). I consider a Large hit to be anything getting close to throat irritation that could leave to coughing. A drag on a canabis cigarette often would be a Large or greater hit in my experience.

I see this plant as a tool with greater benefits when practiced and viewed with an eye focused on its spectrum of effect when varying it's dosage.

Never drank till I was 30 also. I don't understand why any sane person would view alcohol as acceptable or preferred. It makes no sense. I am pro-choice for anyone to take control of their concious sovereignty but the dulling, numbing, slowing of thoughts and lessening of inhibitions from alcohol gets me so confussed as to why it's consumed so much in our society. That it is the only legal drug to alter the perceptions of our youth seems conspiratorial.

Learn discipline and you wouldn't have an issue with productivity. Canabis isn't like alcohol where you lose awareness of your actions. If you are a lazy person on weed it's because you are a lazy undisciplined person who likes excuses. I lost a 180lbs after I started smoking for my depression because as a man I decided to stop using excuses and practiced disciplining myself. If you are weak willed don't alter your conciousness.

You should be wary of using in youth as you need a strong character to seperate it's influence on your mind from who you are. If you lack personal discipline you will find yourself pointing out excuses all around you to alleviate your personal responsibilities.

From this article

"In an in vivo model using severe combined immunodeficient mice, subcutaneous tumors were generated by inoculating the animals with cells from human non-small cell lung carcinoma cell lines.[23] Tumor growth was inhibited by 60% in THC-treated mice compared with vehicle-treated control mice. Tumor specimens revealed that THC had antiangiogenic and antiproliferative effects"

Reality Check—Cannabis use has been found to:

• Cause dependence, at some point in their lives, in about 9 percent of people who try it.

• Impair various aspects of cognitive function, particularly memory. Impairments can remain for several days. One study showed that performance returns to nonusers' levels after 28 days of abstinence, but evidence is mixed about how long the impairments last.

• Potentially reduce the volume of the hippocampus, which is critical for memory—but only after heavy and prolonged use. The evidence linking cognitive impairments to specific brain changes is inconclusive, and the degree to which such changes are reversible is hotly debated.

Stop acting like you know what your talking about. The truth is that nobody knows whether smoking pot actually causes cancer. Does it have carcinogens in it? Yes. Does it have cancer inhibiting properties? Yes. Any knowledge you claim to have beyond that is pure bullshit. The fact is that nobody knows whether the pros outweight the cons or vice versa.

Also for the record cancer is mostly determined by genetics. Eviromental factors do play a role but genetics are far more important. Some people can smoke cigarettes their entire life and never get lung cancer. Others get it by age 10.
