Because the soviets sucked at making nukes and decided to innovate instead of copying old german V2 designs(cause they sucked at making nukes).

Because they use color grey more often
Yo I would fly with a dick shaped spaceship right now if it would bring me to and then back safe to mars.

Because, paradoxically, marxist-lenninists care more about outward appearances than the safety of their people.

Here, at least when something goes wrong there's an inquiry and someone gets fired.

>> No.7492391

More visible, expendable parts + more visible engines = more coolness. The integration on US launch vehicles tends to be more complete, reducing visual interest.

Wha? The Soyuz has one of the best safety records of any rocket family ever flown.

If the Soviet Union was still around, I could maybe understand why people would believe this shit. But it's not, and the "Cold war secrets" have been public for ages now. There's literally no evidence to suggest that there have been more than the two known two fatal accidents (Soyuz 1 and 11).
Hell, what would they even gain from hiding some, but not all, of the accidents?

No, it's really not.
But even if Stalin did rise from the grave and rebuild it, that still wouldn't change the fact the this information is public, and has been for ages.

They can't into directional thrusters and keep a design that goes all the way back to the R-1 Semyorka.

false. The lost cosmonaut stuff is a bunch of conspiracy-tard bullshit

Though an important cosmonaut did die in the first Soyuz test, so they made a lot of changes to make it safe.

Implying that in history no other nation put the safety of its people before the interest of the elite.

If anything, the welfare of the population is sacrificed first in western societies if it's financially justified.

The argument that aesthetics make something unsafe is moronic. Pardon me.
