If the Goldbach conjecture were ever solved, what practical application would it bring?

For those who don't know what it is, the Goldbach conjecture states every even integer greater than 2 can be expressed as the sum of two primes. It has never been proven.

I don't even know why knowing prime numbers is important. Sorry for being irrelevant other than giving you a bump.

encryption/? That's the only time I ever hear primes coming up in the real world, though it doesn't seem like it'll break RSA or anything

math regarding the nature of math has applications mostly relating to computation, approximations, algorithms, etc

not a lot of physical applications

Knowing whether a conjecture like this is true or not doesn't advance mathematics much anon, the breakthroughs are in the new techniques used to produce the proof, which could have applications to other problems in number theory or algebraic geometry and maybe cryptography or whatever (unlikely tbh)
