Hello /sci/ I am new to this board but since I study psychology and its science I,came here, anyway what would happen if the frontal cortex of the brain was mildly damaged and the victim survived. How exactly would it affect the victim.

The victim would probably shitpost on /sci/ about this problem

legit question

why would you do psychology over neuroscience?

i feel like a neuroscience major can make the same observations / assumptions as a psych major, while also being able to physically quantify the cause or susceptibility to a disorder.

aren't there way too many psych majors anyway?

>> No.7438644

Google phineas gage. You mustnt of been a student for very long (which is okay). All these ppl saying psych isnt a science have clearly never taken a college level psych course. Anyways, frontal lobe injuries can be as mild ad slight attentional problems or as debilitating as a loss of motor skills.

Neuroscience doesnt study behaviour as deeply as psychology... like, they have different subjects altogether. Why would you think theyre so completely similar as to make the same observations?

Are you serious? I really hope this is bait. I don't do psych but a few of my friends do and literally all of it is observation and experiment.

As for it being systematic psychology is still a new science. How long have biology/ chem/ phyiscs/ math been studied? Literally millenia, they've had hundreds and thousands of years to develop.
