Would it be possible to selectively breed humans for monogamy?

What.

>>7384309

sure, just create an environment where that is the most favorable route and wait until for time -> infinity while maintaining those conditions

That's not how evolution works. You can't get people shooting lasers out of their eyes just by providing an environment where laser eyes are favorable.

I mean evolution got us to shoot metal cylinders at each other

>> No.7384331

What metal cylninders? Bombs? That's not bueno:(

>> No.7384334

Sure, just nuke Utah and the middle east. That ought to do it.

(the only reason you are even here with a computer are because of those bombs)

there are people living in hellish conditions, statistically likely that they are more beautiful, motivated, talented, intelligent, than you.

those bombs alongside your country are the only things standing between you and their greedy hands wanting to rip everything you have from you :D

Biological engineering is the new method of evolution. If you don't have laser eyes make them

What did Utah do to you?

>> No.7385298

No and your girlfriend is still going to cheat on you with Chad.

Keep dreaming, cuck.

What do you mean by monogamous? With other animals we usually define it as having one mate per breeding season, but because humans dont have breeding seasons we need a human definition. We can say one breeding partner for life, or one breeding partner for a set period of time.

If our culture values whatever definition we choose of monogamy for humans, it could act as a selective pressure for it. And if the trait is also heritable we could theoretically have a mostly monogamous society. In a way, this has already happened. There is also always going to be variation due to random mutation however, and we can imagine that not being monogamous gives you a bettee chance at reproducing leading to the spread of those types of individuals.
