I need to brush up on how radians work real bad

what is pi/2 radians mean?

>> No.7299903

One fourth of a circle revolution or 90 degrees.

pi/2rad=180degree. now u can faggot nvert rad to degree and degree to rad using algebra

nice

never understood in school.
only memorization and gtfo there to play games.

>> No.7302772

relate all your trig formulas to the unit circle and you'll have a very enjoyable time. think of it like the identity of a circle.

>> No.7302778

>>7301802
x rad = (x/pi)*180 degrees = (180/pi)x degrees.
y degrees = (y/180)*pi rad = (pi/180)y rad.

You basically just divide by some value of radians (or degrees), then multiply by the corresponding value in degrees (or radians).

They never explain what radians are.
I didn't really even understand it until years later, when I'd finished my undergrad, and was teaching a kid and she asked "what exactly is a radian?"

I thought for a second and finally understood it.

Radian means radius. Radians means radiuses.
If you take the radius of a circule, the circumference will be 2pi times as long as the radius.

tons of math isnt explained in most schools. the general attitude is plug and chug. fuck understanding any of it. just be a human calculator.
