It's just a way of programming a computer to solve problems with incomplete parameters.

Ex: it's not possibe to specify the characteristics for every different type of handwriting becuase there is no strict definition of how each letter can be formed. Therefore AI is useful in this problem because it allows the computer to cope without explicitly specifying each type of handwriting.

Yellow ones are ones I'm only half sure about

For QM: I know about pertubation theory, the shrodinger equation, wavefunctions etc, but besides really basic stuff (like particle in a box) I haven't actually done it myself (although I"ve seen it in lectures)

For calculus: I think taylor series and representing functions as infinite sums, which not advanced as in "hard to do", is an advanced concept. Also, diff eq's and things like green's theorem maybe is advanced amongst non-math major STEM people

Nerd culture: Well, I play a lot of video games and read books etc, but I loathe people who do things like go to cons and cosplay because they're fucking normie casuals, so I dunno.

3 digits of pi...come on man. You gotta be lazy ass to not know the next digit. More common is 6 digits, 3.14159- after this it's because you memorized it for your HS Calc class's pi day competition.

Actually I didn't even noticed the sci-fi square. I read stuff that sometimes happens to be sci-fi, but I don't really care if it's sci-fi or not, and it's only a small fraction of what i read.

If it's interesting, it's interesting, if not, into le trash it goes.

Also I misread "philsophy is relevant to science" as "philosophy is irelevant to science". I think philosophy is somewhat relevant to science, but not in a direct or essential way (you can do science without caring about philosophy, but philsophy can inform and change your perception of science, that's why some major scientists still care about it).

So that'd be five square in total. Still feels good.

I didn't actually claim to be logical at any point in this thread, though, so I actually didn't do it just now. You're literally just making things up.

I don't really think of calculus as being advanced math, but it objectively is. Most people don't understand it, even if it's only because they've never taken the time to try, but what that means is that to most people it is advanced. Unless you can come up with a quantitative way of determining how advanced something is that we can all agree on, different people will think of different things as being advanced, and there isn't really a set way of figuring out just how advanced something really is.
