why do ugrad students who hope to be doctors take biology degrees? the degree has literally about only 4-5 required upper division courses, with some of the schools not even requiring biochem as part of the degree.
take something that will help you out if you don't get into med school: physics, biomedical engineering, mathematics.
even economics majors score higher than biology majors on the mcat

I might just stay in academia if I can't find a job afterwards.

When you get down to it EE is just circuits and signals. ChemE is everything the circuits control.

I just want to beat off in a server room all day.

On the plus side, this electricity and magnetism course is forcing me to become more time efficient with my schoolwork. The exams are pretty crammed with content, so you either go in with sufficient drilling and practice, or you get a dick in the ass and don't finish in time.
I went from running out of time on the exams to being one of the first people out of the room.

Studying (Europe): Engineering Information Technologist BSc.
I will probably go and do my MSc in EE.
Sometimes I wish I had done Applied Physics or similar because bunch of scientific concepts behind things we learn, which are not taught that well in an applied degree like mine, are starting to interest me very much. I seem to like mechanics more and more too. So sometimes I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. I like both the engineering parts and the science behind it and degrees these days seem to be so separated from each other.
