haven't found a stupid question thread in the catalog, so here it goes...

Do I handle the lim sup thing correctly if functions f(n) and g(n) are given this way??

<span class="math">\limsup_{n \rightarrow \infty} \frac{g(n)}{f(n)} = \limsup_{n \rightarrow \infty} \frac{2n^2}{(1 + (-1)^n)n^3 + 2} = \limsup_{n \rightarrow \infty} \frac{2}{(1 + (-1)^n)n + \frac{2}{n^2}} \stackrel{{\tiny n~odd}}{=} \lim_{n \rightarrow \infty} n^2 = \infty[/spoiler]

thanks
