I wish I knew what my IQ was

when I took the test I couldn't be given an "accurate score", but I was still assess with things I was really good at, and things I was average/above average at

I know that I'm in the 99% percentile when it comes to verbal intelligence or something like that

then again I took the test when I was 17, and I'm 19 now, and I sort of stressed myself out to an extent during the test

whenever she offered me a break I declined, just wanted to keep going

honestly, IQ can't truly begin to really quantify human intelligence

its just a good way at somewhat judging someone's capacity

but it is certainly possible to be of average IQ and still be a genius

Ok, if you're still around, here are some problems. If you can solve these, then you're probably as smart as a below-average math major.

(hard) Find the Green's function of:
<span class="math">x^2 D^2 + xD-(x^2+ \alpha )
(easy) The solution to the differential equation associated with the above operator is the modified Bessel function of order <span class="math">\alpha
, <span class="math">K_{\alpha}
. Find the Laplace transform of <span class="math">K_{\alpha}
.

(easy) Show that the Laplace transform and R with the usual field properties do not form a differential field.
(medium) For any elementary real function f, Is the ordinary differential operator and R an algebraic differential field over f? Justify.

(easy) Name a topology on C that is path-connected, but not Hausdorff.

(easy) Is a group whose order is the Grothendieck prime necessarily simple?

what good is it being a math major and being able to solve numerous sorts of equations and what not if you can't even communicate with other human beings about your accomplishments without immediately coming off as arrogant/insulting.

I got tested as a child. Apparently scored 142, and I was ready to either be transferred to a different school or be accelerated through two grade levels. I had violent tendencies though, and my parents figured I had to learn to socialize with kids my age 'normally', so I stayed put. Ten years later, I feel as dumb as ever and I am still a little awkward around people. I didn't keep track of my score, though I suppose it's gotten lower seeing as I am an unmotivated, Tunisian hentai board-browsing piece of shit.

God I'm so tired with these basic trash news magazine / LinkedIn Pulse type statements like "the number one question for a job interviewer!" ^ 10, or your "real intelligence is social intelligence".

I know people like that, they get along with anyone, and yet they practically never have anything of any REAL value to say.

Stop obsessing over IQ people, there's a lot more to life and people than that. And besides, IQ is something one is more or less born with. Being proud or ashamed of it is like being proud or ashamed of how much wealth or what skin colour you were born with: fucking pointless, since you did nothing to earn it or deserve it in the first place.

I mean, you're a tripfag, you're going to say things in line with the mentalities of autistic idiots with an arsenal of defense mechanisms. This way, people agree with you and thus think you're intelligent. But JUST IN CASE people don't agree with your former statement, the latter statement secures your intelligence.

sooooo crafty, m8.

>>7103105

Oh, yeah? Sounds to me like you're an average IQ guy concocting a story based on what you consider fairly common situations for "above average intelligence" people. "Hopefully", you say to yourself, someone with a high IQ will get onto this threads and share my feelings, thus confirming that while I actually have a low IQ, high IQ people are less efficient than me, and so I will be more successful/accomplished than them.

Good one, you semen-slurping botfly.

>>7102890
Here's an anecdote regarding my immediate family:

My dad and grandad have stratospherically high IQ (99.999%?), and yet they're less successful than my mother - who has an inferior IQ! GO figure!

I don't know my IQ, but I'll modestly say it's probably low - but that's okay because my father failed at all his creative pursuits and so the high IQ didn't prove anything.

we're all geniuses, but IQ doesn't matter anyway, because we're unproductive :( :( :(

Presumably a poster whose comment I tore apart, yes?

Your line of argumentation is to feign ignorance of what I'm refering to and deem my comments "lunatic" or "inane".

Potential followup comments:

(1) I'm not one of those people
(1) (a) And what you said is ridiculous nonetheless

Counterargument to (1): No one cares enough on /sci/ to respond to the rantings of someone they deem a lunatic unless they are personally involved - and feel their ego is under attack. You gain nothing from not being one of the aforementioned and wasting time commenting on my post.

(2) You take the facetious route, where you say that "if thinking you're a genius helps you sleep at night, then so be it". This route is the one you would take when you'd want to avoid argumentation due to a deep-set timidity and fear that I might ruin your "world", so to speak.

Not noting my insincerity when stating "we're all geniuses", etc. you would pretend as though my entire post was braggery.
