Since this is another way of saying

When in doubt, think of the chain rule rather than going back to F and risk messing up a sign.

<span class="math">\int_a^b= \int_a^c + \int_c^b = - \int_c^a + \int_c^b[/spoiler] for all a, b and c for which these are defined.
