What pens/pencils does /sci/ use? What size pen/pencil lead do you like most? Just ordered pic related in .3mm lead.

Also, looking for a pen/pencil made from solid tungsten (not fucking tungsten carbide) or 316 stainless steel if anyone knows anywhere I could find one.

After years of trying various mechanical pencils, I have settled on Pentel pencils... the ones that have "clicker" on the side so you can quickly advance lead. Everything else feels like shit to me now.

Mathfag here. I use pen for all my notes and scratch work and tex up anything I give a shit about.

I fucking hate pencil. Don't think I've used one since high school.

Usually use a fine point pilot g-2, but I found one of these poppin pens on the floor a while ago and i like it quite a bit. The ink refill lasts waaay longer. Might actually buy some black ones.

my god. good quality .035 leads don't break either unless it's a gorilla trying to learn calligraphy.

I agree that .09 makes good dark lines; but so does a pencil. if you want to always have that fine constant-width line, you need .05 or less.
that goes for writing and specially drawing.

Writing with anything above 0.5 feels like you're writing with a giant fucking stick. You have to write gigantic letters and symbols so you can read what you wrote later on. And what kind of MORON wants to sharpen leads??? In 2015? You for real, nigga??

I prefer to utilise a quill. They are not overly expensive, they are lightweight, they have a nice fine point that shan't snap under my heavy, oarfish hands.

Most importantly of all, writing with a quill makes me feel important.

I've used these for a long time and they were always my favorite. However, recently I found that mont blanc ink cartridges will fit into these pens with slight modifications. The quality of the ink is far superior and you get a slight weight increase which makes them more controllable. .
