Is it possible to advance human knowledge and technology without utilizing math?

Is it possible that OP is a faggot? Yes. Yes it is.

Depends on what you mean by math.
For writing down technological insights, you'll likely want to quantify -some- observable. When you draw pictures of which stones are best for making a fire, the math involved is next to nothing. If you want to describe how time length of burning relates to the color of the stones (or whatever), you introduce functionality and so on. As soon as you develope a formal language for this, you get a notion of Kolmogoroph complexity, conciously or not, and some people might want to optimize it - I'd argue that then they do math.
If by knowledge you mean stuff like the theory of book critique, then I guess there isn't too much math.

math is a model
you will need a model

Thousands of years ago rubbing two sticks together required no math. Important and useful but not "100%" vital.

OP asked if it is possible, not if it was.

Same rules apply today.

What if all trivial facts (those that require no maths) have been discovered?

>> No.7043316

Why are people so afraid of math? I'm not even that good at it and I enjoy it and recognize its importance to modelling phenomenon in almost any STEM field.

Do you want to be a lab tech? Someone has to wash the glassware and you can be that person! They might even put your name second to last on the paper!

>> No.7043342

You cant even buy your groceries without using math

can't have the same type of technology then
