Do you listen to any science podcasts?

popsci won't advance my field, so no.

Skeptics Guide to the universe is my fav, I listen to it every week.

Anti-vax, anti-GMO, AGW deniers, mediums, psychics and any other sort of pseudoscience get methodologically #REKT.

But really, I respect their philosophy of trying to move past human biases, politics and ideology to try to find what the true facts are by trusting only good, objective, repeated, independent science with good statistics.

I spend hours staring at a screen programming rudimentary algorthims, so ususally to relax I just read a book or watch a move

Titanium Physicists podcast is awesome. They're all PhD research physicists explaining a subject per podcast to a non-scientist guest. Really funny and very informative for a noob like me.

Also, for psychology and philosophy (because why not), Very Bad Wizards. Also very funny and informative.

How exactly did black science man get so popular with the general public? To my knowledge Sagan was only popular with the scientific community.

Virtual intelligence, then?

Star talk, SGU, RadioLab, QuackCast when he made episodes,

Been enjoying Caustic Soda lately, more lay mans science but they usually get knowledgeable guests when it's something specific, and it's funny as fuck.

Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, The Beauty Brains, sometimes Hello, Internet
I listen to a few others, but they aren't math/science related.

Sounds like its just popsci. Mix a few things everyone knows is BS with some politically flavored shit and push.

I'm a fan of Novella because he schooled Tyson when the latter said something dumb about medicine and then doubled down with something even dumber about biology as a whole.
