Hey /sci/. I've always enjoyed astronomy and astrophysics but only got really into it. I have 2 questions about gravity and recommendations. (please make your explanation as broad as you can.) Is there a force the can manipulate gravity? For example, let's say our race wants to colonize an exoplanet with a gravitational force 300x stronger than ours. Is there a force that can manipulate that gravity to match earths with losing density or mass? Also, what is a good book on physics that is good for a beginner? Thank you

Element Zero

Seriously. If they were such a force we would have flying cars and spaceships with FTL drives already.

If you put a giant hollow sphere surrounding the planet with planets mass-earth's mass it should balance out.
