i discovered a thing
i call it the functorial (not the adjective pertaining to functors)
say you have a function F
let F^(1), F^(2).. denote first and second derivative
now let F^(z)! = F^(z-1)
most functions fluctuate rapidly and chaotically, it's quite interesting
the functions that terminate (vanish/converge) under this operation form an interesting object too
i'd love to extend this to get a 'functional gamma function', or see if i can create a stronger form of 'convergence' so i can find the functorial of smooth functions
anyone else doing anything in fractional calculus?

by vanish i mean it eventually reaches the identity function, otherwise it would just apply the whole function chain and you'd end up with a scalar
