Anyone here good with gnuplot?

As in pic related, I'm working on a project which involves me tracing rays from the edge of a shape on the <span class="math">z=0[/spoiler] plane, through a surface, and through a specific point. I have a fair idea how to plot surfaces (at least sufficient for now, though I may come back later as my needs change), but I wonder if there's a "good" way to plot these rays.

Essentially, what I'd quite like, is to be able to plot a "cone" or "tube" surface that these rays obviously (to human eyes) define, rather than just the rays themselves as arrowheads. However, I'm really not sure whether gnuplot provides this functionality, or what functionality can do this with a bit of persuasion.

Does anyone have any advice or possible suggestions?

As this image shows, I'll be doing this process for many "target" points, and getting many cones of edge rays through the surface.

Final bump, nothing at all?
