Hey /sci/, what happened before the big bang? Was there just nothing? I feel like this question has been asked before, but I was just curious and have seen some pretty interesting answers on this board before

It's all speculation so here's mine. Our sight in the universe ends >15bly. It doesn't mean there's nothing past our observational boundary. The universe is actually billions of times larger than our visible boundary. Over time mass accretes into a black hole larger than can be imagined. > billions of galaxy mass. Once an unknown event limit is reached the black hole instantly radiates all its degenerate matter, then the process repeats.

My question is; Did anything before the Big Bang fall outside the laws of causality and effect?

the 15 year olds on this board are usually much more grown up than the 15 year olds on other boards.

You're on sci, relativity is big around here.

What if the interior of the black hole has a big-bang event? Maybe its energy converts into some kind of anti-energy (behold my pseudo-science), allowing an entire universe to fit within the interior.

Okay that last part is bullshit, but here's where my hypothesis gets crazy: What if the reason "space" is black is because the "wall" of our universe is a black hole?

Furthermore, what if we're given the illusion of space "expanding" because we're actually SHRINKING within a black hole, making the space around us seem bigger?

Bam, I just made a breakthrough on you niggas and I I guarantee you someone will confirm my idea long before I have any means of doing it myself. Call it "Pedigo's Theory" so I can feel acknowledged.

>>6932674
I follow a little of what you're puttin' out.

Didn't they say if you took all the space away from between atoms and protons/electrons, you could condense the universe into a football stadium or some dumb shit?

So since a black hole has such incredible density, it just mashes stuff inside, excluding all breathing room between atoms, until perhaps it reaches some sort of tipping point where it just gets too much stuff and blows up.

The universe doesn't actually exist. We're live in a hologram. The big bang doesn't actually exist either. Our minds aren't used to comprehending a before since in our world, we've always been used to a before. Chances are there's a dimension we can't precieve.

>> No.6932732

As I understand it, before and after didn't exist before the big bang, as time was created along with the big bang.

Though that doesn't make much sense to me because the big bang requires a change and change can only happen with the passage of time.

Best answer is: We don't know.

>> No.6932749

>>6932576
big bang is black hole outburst, we just can't go further back.
it seems like the unthinkable is real, the universe has always been there, for time has no beginning, but the ways to measure is beyond our big bang is for now impossible. Only contact with a intelligence far far away can be of any help with that. And you know, it's to far away and to long ago to spend any time on really.

So imagine living inside a Mario video-game. You don't know you're in a video-game. You live inside there your whole life. You always wondered if there was a stage before the first level. You observe around the surroundings and find there isn't a before. There's just been stage one. However, there's a dimension you can't perceive. The real world. You find clues inside the game that proves that there's a world out there such as glitches that mess up the game map. We're inside the video-game. There's a dimension we can't perceive but have clues that our world is a fake.

This cannot be known. Our universe is essentially a singularity. You can't go outside of it. You certainly can't go before or after it. We're stuck here, like flies in amber.

God is light. He made this place from His place, and He's coming back soon.

And He doesn't care if you know the difference between a covalent bond and an ionic bond.

And He certainly doesn't give a flying fuck about your "Big Bang" theories.

Time began at the Big Bang. Therefore to ask 'what was before?' in the sense of time is illogical. The question contradicts itself. You are essentially asking, 'what happened an hour before time began?'
