if everything we experience/feel/do is just deterministic brain activity that means we're fucked.

i mean this is a really super bad bad situation

it means that when you die you both stop experiencing/feeling/doing but when children are born the whole thing starts again with new brain activity....

we're eternally fucked because we dont have control of being born

jesus fucking christ i am in hell

How would the situation be different if everything we experienced/felt/did was non-deterministic brain activity?

I don't think your conclusions follow from your premises

I can't tell if you think "souls" are somehow reincarnated into new hosts with no memory of their past lives, or if you think humanity is ultimately fucked due to the inability to transfer knowledge through time. Either way, both are wrong. Calm your shit op. Everything will be okay

So you are upset because you just discovered death? WUT? How old are you? And what does that have to do with determinism?

I'd like to believe that the brain functions in a somewhat quantum mechanical way in which, for some reason or another, the probabilistic nature of microscopic phenomena translates as well into the macroscopic. Sort of like how crystals are a macroscopic representation of microscopic regularity while amorphous materials are macroscopic manifestations of isolated macroscopic regularity

You don't understand what determinism is. And the implications you make are nonsensical.
