http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/usa-autistic-child-predicts-winning-numbers-of-state-lottery/

The parents of three children claims that their 9-year old autistic son Steven, predicted the lottery draws with the help of a series of complex mathematic formulas that he designed himself, successfully producing the six winning numbers on three consecutive weeks.

The statistical odds of winning the jackpot of the Ohio Classic Lotto with a $1 ticket are theoretically only of 1-in-13,983,816, but the young boy obviously found a way to beat the odds, and three times rather than one. He seems to have found a way, somehow, to predict the results of every draw despite odds that most mathematicians would describe impossible to beat. His amazing mathematic skills have brought in more than 12,7 M$ of gains over three weeks.

Brian and Jenny Morgan were overjoyed when they claimed their prizes of 6.1M$, 2,9M$ and 2.7M$ from the Ohio Lottery Commission.

>“Steven just loves mathematics” says his Jenny Morgan. “But since he has Asperger’s syndrome and autism, I am afraid that many ill-disposed people could try to take advantage of his gifts. We are not really certain what he wants to do yet, we’ll have to ask him, but we will make sure he is happy and that no one exploits him.”

Can someone explain how this is possible ? ? It's like counting cards at poker but with millions of dollars worth of lottery money

Not the same thing. Scratchcards are numbered sequentially with a (presumably previously) simple algorithm determining which card in the linear sequence would be the winner. This can be likened to the people who buy those mtg card packs from specific places in the box. I'm not exactly sure how it worked but there was some outrage on /tg/ about store owners shuffling the card packs in the box to prevent people buying specific packs with better cards in.

The Lotto is a series of numbers that are randomly drawn from a machine. Theoretically it should be impossible to predict which numbers will come out because it's random. People are saying worldnewsdaily is a satire site, so that seems the more likely explanation.
