I thinks it's exaggeration. Drinking cold water also burn calories, but nobody say it because it burns almost fucking nothing. Cold shower won't turn you into a superhuman or make you live longer, but your skin and hair will be better looking. But sometimes hot shower are pretty relaxing, for stress and headaches.
