I wouldn't say he's that high functioning. I saw him lecture at Auckland a while ago, and he was mumbling and nervous. Also at the reception before the lecture, he was a massive bundle of nerves, standing frozen to the wall. I tried to talk to him and he was full spaghetti, stuttering and hardly saying a word.
